Great Scott! DeLorean from Back to the Future Trilogy Flies Into San Diego Air & Space Museum Today
Michael J. Fox's Car Joins Museum's SPACE: A Journey To Our Future Exhibition
San Diego, 7.10.2011
San Diego, CA - July 11, 2011 - Michael J. Fox's famous ride from the movie Back to the Future arrives at the San Diego Air & Space Museum this afternoon. The car will be on display for a limited time at the Museum as part of the special traveling exhibition, SPACE: A Journey To Our Future.
The Museum's DeLorean is one of seven used on screen in the Back to the Future trilogy. This particular car was used in the third movie for the 1955 drive-in movie scene when Michael J. Fox drives it into the past and lands in 1885 to find Doc. Of the seven DeLoreans, only three have survived since filming, and this is one of those three—the only one in private hands.
