Meet an Astronaut at the San Diego Air & Space Museum's Seventh Annual Space Day

The San Diego Air & Space Museum’s Space Day celebration is set to launch on Saturday, May 8th, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Come and engage in fun hands-on demonstrations, giveaways, and activities with local and national space experts. Space Day is FREE for children 17 and under and admission is discounted for adults with a coupon available on the Museum’s website.

Local astronaut Jim Newman, whose ambitious spacewalks from the space shuttle helped repair the Hubble Space Telescope, is planning to attend and share stories of his dynamic space career.

Invited presenters include NASA, Lockheed Martin, Deep Space Network, JPL, San Diego Space Society, SETI, San Diego Astronomy Association, Virgin Galactic, UCSD EarthKAM, and The Planetary Society.

The Day's Activities Include:
