Buzz Aldrin Book Signing on May 22nd

Buzz Aldrin Book Signing--May 22nd

Whenever possible, the San Diego Air & Space Museum loves to give our visitors the opportunity to meet inspirational and historical figures. It’s hard to think of a more important event in living history than the first landing on the moon in 1969. The Museum is offering a special after-hours opportunity to meet Buzz Aldrin who, together with Neil Armstrong, became the first person to land on the moon on the Apollo 11 lunar mission. Buzz and co-author Leonard David will be signing their new book “Mission to Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration.” Copies of Buzz’s children’s book “Look to the Stars,” are also available for purchase.

This special after-hours event requires advanced online ticket purchase. Event ticket and book prices are included below. Only books purchased online through the Museum will be signed.

“Mission to Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration” – Price $26.00 (maximum of 3 books per person)

Legendary "space statesman" Buzz Aldrin speaks out as a vital advocate for the continuing quest to push the boundaries of the universe as we know it. As a pioneering astronaut who first set foot on the moon during mankind's first landing of Apollo 11--and as an aerospace engineer who designed an orbital rendezvous technique critical to future planetary landings--Aldrin has a vision, and in this book he plots out the path he proposes, taking humans to Mars by 2035.

“Look To the Stars” (kids book) – Price $18.00 (maximum of 3 books per person)

As one of a handful of astronauts to have walked on the moon, Buzz Aldrin has a unique perspective of space. And he serves as an amazing guide as he introduces us to the pioneers of space. From Copernicus to the Wright brothers, from the Apollo program to dreams of future travel, he reminds us that humankind has always looked to the stars.
