Back to the Future Ride Now On Display
Great Scott! DeLorean from Back to the Future Trilogy is now on display for a limited time!
Michael J. Fox's famous ride from the movie Back to the Future has just arrived at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. The car will be on display for a limited time (until August 17th) at the Museum as part of the special traveling exhibition, SPACE: A Journey To Our Future.
The Museum's DeLorean was one of seven used on screen in the Back to the Future trilogy. This particular car was used in the third movie for the 1955 drive-in movie scene when Michael J. Fox drives it into the past and lands in 1885 to find Doc. Of the seven DeLoreans, only three have survived since filming, and this is one of those three—the only one in private hands. "This cultural icon is an exciting and unique opportunity for visitors," said Jim Kidrick, President and CEO of the San Diego Air & Space Museum. "Our visitors could already imagine traveling in space in the Museum's SPACE: A Journey To Our Future exhibition; now they can travel in time too."
