Museum's 50th Anniversary - November 01, 2013

It seems like only yesterday, but it’s been 50 years since the San Diego Aerospace Museum opened its doors for the first time. Since then, we’ve moved twice, added an annex at Gillespie Field, acquired the original Consolidated Aircraft Wind Tunnel and increased our aircraft collection from six to more than 120.

Fly Your Ride! Competition - April 12, 2014

Our Fly Your Ride! Competition finals are being held at the San Diego Air & Space Museum from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 12! Middle school and high school teams from all over San Diego County have been working tirelessly to design and build flying cars. Will they be able to jump over an ever increasing gap after going down a ramp…and will they survive? Find out with us!

Aerosummer 2014 - July 14, 2014

The Museum offers a variety of half-day, week-long summer programs. These classes teach air and space history and science through hands-on activities such as designing and building model airplanes, launching model rockets, and flying simulators. Our summer camps run Monday-Friday, mid-July to late August. Registration is now open!
