2015 Paper Airplane Festival - March 15, 2015

Come to the San Diego Air & Space Museum for our annual Paper Airplane Festival! As part of Balboa Park’s STEAM Family Day held on Sunday, March 15th from 11:00am-3:00pm, visitors can learn to make paper airplanes under expert guidance at the Museum and participate in a mass launch at 2:00pm.

Fly Your Ride! Competition - April 11, 2015

Sounds complicated? It’s not. Along with SDG&E, we’re looking for students who want to build a vehicle no larger than a shoebox, launch it down a ramp, and see if it can jump a gap. It’s fun, it’s creative, and you don’t have to be a science fair genius to come up with a winning entry. Students from 6th through 12th grade in San Diego County are encouraged to take part.

Aerosummer 2015 - July 13, 2015

The Museum offers a variety of half-day, week-long summer programs. These classes teach air and space history and science through hands-on activities such as designing and building model airplanes, launching model rockets, and flying simulators. Our summer camps run Monday-Friday, mid-July to late August. Registration is now open!
